Roanoke Investigates Fatal Windsor Road Shooting After Driving Altercation

Roanoke police say a fatal shooting on Windsor Road SW Thursday evening is under investigation. Responders found a gunshot victim at 5:27 p.m.; the person died at the scene. Authorities say the incident started with a driving altercation that escalated after vehicles stopped. A second individual was detained, a firearm recovered, and detectives interviewed the person before consulting the Commonwealth’s Attorney.
