Six Injured in Metro Shaft Electrical Incident Near Medical Center

Six workers were injured in an electrical incident inside a Metro tunnel shaft near the Medical Center Metro Station in Montgomery County. One patient was transported as Priority 1 trauma and two as Priority 2 trauma, all with serious injuries. Responders are securing the high-hazard area, locating and removing victims, and coordinating with Metro as investigators review the incident. Residents are urged to avoid the area while responders work.
