Spokane Firestorm Leaves 833 Structures Lost Across Three Blazes

Spokane’s Old Trails, Autumn Lane and Fairview fires scorched over 3,100 acres and destroyed or damaged 833 structures, triggering the evacuation of more than 65,000 residents. Firefighters fought long hours with limited resources as high winds spread flames through neighborhoods, while local leaders and wildfire experts struggled to quantify the devastation from aerial surveys of Lookout Mountain, Riverside State Park and surrounding areas.
