Westview High incident ends with student in custody; firearm not recovered

Douglas County authorities responded to an alleged armed incident at Westview High School in Bennington, Nebraska. Deputies, along with Nebraska State Patrol troopers and Bennington Police, searched the building, located the student, and took them into custody without incident; the firearm has not been recovered so far. The scene was secured, students were dismissed, and the football game against Papillion-La Vista will proceed as scheduled while investigators continue.
