"Devastating Storm Leaves Thousands Without Power in Maine"

A powerful storm in Maine resulted in the deaths of two men and knocked out power to over half of Central Maine Power customers. The storm brought heavy rain and high winds, causing downed trees, road closures, and school and business shutdowns. Restoration efforts are expected to take days, as repair crews cannot work until wind speeds drop below 30 mph. The storm also caused flooding and power outages in other states along the East Coast.
