"Restoring Power: Duke Energy Aims to Bring Relief to Hurricane Idalia Affected Areas"

Duke Energy Florida aims to restore power to 95% of customers affected by Hurricane Idalia by tonight, except for those in the hardest-hit areas. Over 135,000 customers have already had their power restored. Restoration work continues in the most severely impacted areas, where floodwaters need to recede before damage assessment can take place. Customers experiencing flooding or damage must have their electrical systems inspected and repaired by licensed electricians before power can be restored.
