"Wildfires Blaze Across Oregon, Threatening Communities in Agness, Silverton, and Sisters"

A new wildfire, known as the Flat Fire, has erupted in southwest Oregon near the community of Oak Flat in Curry County. The fire, estimated at 120 acres, is burning in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest and is visible from Grants Pass to Gold Beach. Fire crews from multiple agencies and aircraft are working to contain the blaze, which is burning in an old fire scar from 2018.
