Autiello and Cano to Compete for Rhode Island Congressional Seat

Nick Autiello, a Providence Democrat and climate strategist, has announced his candidacy for the primary to replace Congressman David Cicilline. Autiello, who has worked on global efforts to tackle climate change, is the third prominent Democrat to enter the race for the 1st District seat. He has pledged to continue Cicilline's advocacy for equality if elected and is endorsed by the LGBTQ Victory Fund. No Republican has launched a campaign for the seat so far.
