Beshear calls out McConnell’s health secrecy as Senate recess continues

Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear said he has heard nothing from Mitch McConnell or his aides about the Senate leader’s recovery after a fall, criticizing the lack of transparency as McConnell remains out of public view during a Senate recess. McConnell, who hasn’t voted in person since June 11 and was discharged to continue recovery at his DC home, says doctors found no serious injuries and he will undergo at-home physical therapy while staying engaged with Senate business. Beshear urged more accountability from McConnell and the Republican-led Senate.
