Biden to Withdraw Controversial Judicial Nominee Delaney.

The Biden administration is expected to withdraw the nomination of Michael Delaney for the First Circuit Court of Appeals due to lack of support from several Democrats on the Judiciary Committee. Delaney faced opposition for his past work defending a school in a civil lawsuit over sexual assault, as well as his abortion positions and service on the board of a group that took strong deregulatory positions. A coalition of progressive groups called for his rejection, citing his "hostility to victims’ rights, reproductive rights, employee rights, and government regulation that is unsuitable for the lifetime appointment for which he is being considered."
