Bolsonaro returns to Brazil, expected to lead right-wing opposition.

Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has returned to Brazil after spending three months in self-imposed exile in the US. He faces an investigation into whether he incited the rioters who stormed Congress on 8 January. Upon his arrival, supporters greeted him, but he was led out by a side exit. Bolsonaro's son Eduardo told supporters that his father had left for the headquarters of the Liberal Party, of which he is a member. Bolsonaro has also been summoned to testify in a probe into whether he tried to illegally import and keep millions of dollars' worth of jewellery he and his wife were given by Saudi Arabia in 2019.
