Capitol Police Requests Ignored by GOP in Jan. 6 Footage Review

Capitol Police officials were not informed that the surveillance video of the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, which they gave to House Republicans, would be passed on to Fox News host Tucker Carlson, according to a sworn court filing by the department's top lawyer. Carlson aired dozens of clips on his Fox News show this month, which were criticized by lawmakers from both sides of the aisle as being misleading. The Capitol Police chief called Carlson's report "offensive."
