Congress considers contempt vote for FBI director over Biden probe documents.

The Republican chairman of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, James Comer, plans to hold FBI director Christopher A. Wray in contempt of Congress for not handing over an internal bureau document in response to a subpoena. The document in question is an FD-1023 form containing unsubstantiated allegations about President Biden and his family. Wray offered to allow lawmakers to view a redacted version of the form in a secure location, but Comer rejected the offer. The FBI says that Justice Department policy prevents them from giving the document to the committee because it could compromise a confidential source.
