"Controversial Congressman George Santos Faces Expulsion Attempt Amidst Allegations"

Indicted US Representative George Santos, facing criminal campaign-finance charges and having admitted to fabricating parts of his biography, defiantly stated that he will not "stand by quietly" ahead of an expected vote to expel him from Congress. Santos, who has spent less than a year in Congress, faces expulsion on Friday, with some Republicans withdrawing their support after evidence emerged of his misuse of campaign funds. Santos has filed a motion to force an expulsion vote against Democratic Representative Jamaal Bowman, but it is unlikely to succeed. Santos predicts he will be forced out and has said he will not run for reelection next year.
