Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has unveiled a border security plan that includes ending birthright citizenship, completing the border wall with Mexico, and taking more aggressive action against drug cartels. While DeSantis agrees with former President Donald Trump on many immigration policies, he also proposes items that he believes Trump left undone. DeSantis has taken jabs at Trump in recent months, including in his critique of Trump's failure to complete the border wall. However, before he can run against Democratic President Joe Biden, DeSantis has to catch Trump for the Republican presidential nomination.
