E. Jean Carroll is seeking at least $10 million in new damages against former President Donald Trump after he made disparaging comments about her during a CNN town hall. Carroll's amended complaint cites the $5 million verdict she won earlier this month, when a jury unanimously concluded Trump is liable for sexual abuse and defamation. Both lawsuits stem from comments Trump made, accusing Carroll of lying, after she came forward in 2019 with allegations that Trump sexually assaulted her in a New York City department store in the mid-1990s.
