"Ex-Trump Official Peter Navarro Reports to Prison for Contempt Sentence"

Peter Navarro, a former White House adviser, reported to prison for a four-month sentence related to a contempt of Congress conviction for defying a subpoena from the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol attack. He is the first senior Trump administration official to be imprisoned in connection to the attack. Navarro, who maintained he couldn't cooperate due to executive privilege, was denied a stay while appealing his conviction. The House committee concluded that Trump criminally engaged in a conspiracy to overturn the election results and failed to act to stop his supporters from storming the Capitol.
