House Republicans passed a bill that would lift the debt limit and cut spending, including setting federal discretionary spending at $1.47 trillion and rescinding unobligated COVID relief money. The bill also targets the IRS, blocks student loan relief, repeals most clean energy tax breaks, and expands work requirements for federal cash and food assistance recipients.
