Graham family seat to be contested as sister of late Lindsey announces full-term bid

South Carolina’s newly sworn-in senator Darline Graham, sister of the late Lindsey Graham, announced she will run for a full term to fill his seat. In a Fox News interview she said she’s in, with President Trump endorsing her bid for the Aug. 11 primary. The filing window opens soon as several candidates, including Reps. Russell Fry and Ralph Norman, have announced runs; Graham’s appointment was viewed as a caretaker move, with the winner heading to a special election later this year.
