House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan has issued a subpoena to depose former prosecutor Mark Pomerantz, who resigned from the Manhattan DA's office over the investigation into former President Donald Trump's finances. Pomerantz wrote a memoir about his time on the investigation and declined to appear before the committee last month. The subpoena is the first from the committee and comes as House Republicans continue to probe the Manhattan DA's investigation of Trump. The committee may consider legislative reforms to prevent politically motivated prosecutions of current or former presidents.
