Manchin intensifies criticism of Biden's energy and fiscal policies.

Senator Joe Manchin, a conservative Democrat from West Virginia, has criticized President Biden for not negotiating with fiscally-minded Republicans over the nation's debt limit and for allowing unelected ideologues to thwart the will of Congress on energy policy. Manchin, who has not yet announced whether he will run for reelection next year, also threatened to sue the Biden administration over its handling of guidance on which electric vehicles qualify for tax credits. He accused bureaucrats of subverting energy-related provisions in the Inflation Reduction Act, which he negotiated with the White House.
