Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has urged Latino voters not to support Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in the next US presidential election, accusing him of trying to win votes at the expense of migrants. DeSantis has vowed to build a wall on the Mexico border and impose strong controls on illegal immigration and limit asylum. López Obrador has previously warned Republicans not to target migrants for political gain and is seeking to muster support for a successor due to be elected in June 2024.
