Former Vice President Mike Pence has increasingly blamed former President Donald Trump for the Jan. 6 Capitol attack, saying that Trump's "reckless" words fueled the insurrection. Pence has made at least seven public statements in the past four months placing blame on Trump, including in his recently released memoir. Pence has also declined to participate in a congressional investigation into the attack and is fighting a grand jury subpoena for a criminal investigation.
