California Governor Gavin Newsom criticized Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for signing a bill allowing permitless carry just days after a school shooting in Nashville. Newsom sat down with Jen Psaki on MSNBC's "Inside With Jen Psaki" and called out DeSantis for not caring about children's safety and being scared of the public. Newsom recently launched a political action committee called Campaign for Democracy to call out red state policies and "authoritarian leaders." The new concealed carry law in Florida has broad opposition, even from the state's Republicans, according to a University of North Florida poll from early March.
