Ohio's 2023 Vote: Abortion, Marijuana, and Reproductive Rights

Ohio voters will decide on Tuesday whether to amend the state Constitution to protect access to abortion services in a high-profile contest that has attracted national attention. The proposed state constitutional amendment, labeled "Issue 1" on the ballot, would establish the right to make reproductive decisions, including abortion, contraception, and fertility treatment. It would also allow for abortions to be banned once the fetus can survive outside the womb, unless it endangers the patient's life or health. Additionally, Ohio voters will also decide on a statewide ballot measure to legalize recreational adult use of marijuana.
