Oregon Secretary of State under scrutiny for moonlighting as marijuana consultant.

Oregon Governor Tina Kotek has requested investigations by the Oregon Government Ethics Commission and the Oregon Department of Justice into the audit of the Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission (OLCC) following revelations that Secretary of State Shemia Fagan signed a consulting contract with an affiliate of the La Mota cannabis dispensary chain while Fagan's auditors were examining the OLCC's regulation of the cannabis industry. Fagan has defended the contract work and said she broke no ethics laws, but has not provided a copy of the contract or disclosed what she is being paid.
