Pence's Response to Trump's Indictment: "No One is Above the Law"

Former Vice President Mike Pence called on Attorney General Merrick Garland to publicly explain why his office and Special Counsel Jack Smith brought charges against Donald Trump for hoarding classified documents and obstructing justice. Pence also criticized Trump for asking him to overturn the 2020 presidential election and stated that anyone who puts themselves over the Constitution should never be president. Pence made these comments during a visit to North Carolina as part of his national tour to mark his formal entrance into the 2024 presidential race.
