Former Trump White House official Peter Navarro has been sentenced to four months in prison for contempt of Congress after defying a subpoena related to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. He is the second former Trump insider to be convicted and sentenced for contempt of Congress. Navarro argued that he believed executive privilege shielded him from having to testify or produce documents to the committee, but the judge ruled against this defense. Navarro was also ordered to pay a $9,500 fine and is expected to appeal his conviction.
