The jury was persuaded by the fact that there wasn’t a single message among the Proud Boys leaders urging their allies to withdraw from the riot or stay away from the violence. The jury considered very little about Trump’s role in Jan. 6, despite one “anti-Trump” juror’s effort to tie the former president to the Proud Boys’ actions.
