Rogers privately signals confidence in Michigan Senate bid depending on Dem nominee

In a June private call with supporters, Michigan Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers said his campaign is in “pretty good shape” and that he would be in a strong position if Abdul El-Sayed becomes the Democratic nominee, arguing El-Sayed is too radical and would lose parts of the state. Democrats counter that Rogers is attempting to boost El-Sayed’s candidacy and that he could face either El-Sayed or Haley Stevens in the general election.
