Sarah Godlewski appointed as Wisconsin's new Secretary of State.

Wisconsin's Secretary of State, Doug La Follette, is retiring after holding the office for nearly five decades. Democratic Gov. Tony Evers has appointed former state treasurer and unsuccessful U.S. Senate candidate Sarah Godlewski to replace La Follette and serve the remainder of his term. La Follette's office has been reduced to a small room in the basement of the state Capitol with two positions and a budget of less than $250,000 per year.
