Secret Service Successfully Keeps Operation Under Wraps

As former President Donald Trump faces state charges tied to hush money payments, the Secret Service is expected to deliver him to a New York City courtroom. This is not the first time the Secret Service has escorted a U.S. leader to face criminal charges. In 1973, Vice President Spiro Agnew was escorted to a federal courtroom to enter a plea and resign from office. The Secret Service kept the mission a secret, even from their own bosses, but allowed their admiration of Agnew to get in the way of properly doing their jobs.
