Tennessee Capitol: From Insurrection to Hope for Change.

Tennessee Speaker of the House, Cameron Sexton, likened the protests at the State Capitol over gun control to an "insurrection" and threatened action against three Democratic representatives who he claimed tried to "incite riots of violence." The protesters, including students who walked out of school, pleaded with lawmakers for gun control measures in the state. While some Republican leaders joined Sexton in characterizing the protests as an "insurrection," not all Republicans agreed with the misleading characterization. No injuries were reported, and no arrests were made during the protests.
