Tennessee Republicans move to expel Democrats over gun control protest.

Tennessee House Republicans have filed resolutions seeking the expulsion of three Democratic state representatives, Gloria Johnson, Justin Jones, and Justin Pearson, after they participated in protests calling for more gun control in the wake of the deadly mass shooting at Nashville’s Covenant School. The lawmakers led a protest on the House floor last Thursday, using a bullhorn as demonstrators called for lawmakers to do something to prevent further gun violence. A vote on whether to expel the three members is slated for Thursday.
