Tennessee's Ongoing Battle with Gun Violence and School Safety

Tennessee State Rep. Sam Whitson is urging the House Democratic Caucus to punish three members for a "stunt" on the House floor amid protests for tighter gun laws. Whitson called their protest a "stunt" aimed at drawing attention to themselves and one that he believes could have hurt their cause of gun restrictions. He warned that if they pull this again, he is for immediate expulsion. House Speaker Cameron Sexton is believed to have been ready to expel the trio, but when they returned to the chamber, he only told them their behavior was unacceptable.
