Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has called for the resignation of Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan, accusing him of being "in an obviously intoxicated state" while presiding over the House. Video footage from the House floor on Friday night shows Phelan slurring his words while debating an amendment to a Senate Bill. However, Phelan's office fired back, saying a committee is investigating Paxton's office, and they said his comments were an attempt to "save face."
