Texas AG demands resignation of allegedly intoxicated House Speaker.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has called for the resignation of the state House of Representatives' top lawmaker, Dade Phelan, accusing him of being "in a state of apparent debilitating intoxication" while presiding over the legislature. Paxton did not provide evidence to support his claim against Phelan, who has denied the allegations. Phelan's office accused Paxton of making the move to save face amid his own legal problems. The Texas House Committee on General Investigating is investigating Paxton's office since March.
