Experts say that legally, former President Donald Trump could still become president even if he is convicted of a crime, as there are no constitutional obstacles preventing someone who has been charged or convicted from seeking or taking office. The Constitution only lists three requirements to become president: being a natural born citizen, 35 years or older, and a resident of the U.S. for at least 14 years.
