Trump Arraignment Draws Protests and Supporters Outside Manhattan Courthouse

Republican Congressman George Santos, who is facing his own investigations, appeared outside Manhattan criminal court ahead of former President Donald Trump's arraignment. Santos criticized Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and questioned why Hunter Biden has not been indicted. A Manhattan grand jury indicted Trump for his alleged role in organizing a hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels in the lead-up to the 2016 presidential election. Santos has criticized the "weaponized justice system" and expressed support for Trump's 2024 presidential campaign. Santos himself is said to be the subject of a number of probes by different entities because of questions about his background and finances.
