Trump maintains lead over DeSantis in GOP primary poll.

According to a new poll by Quinnipiac University, former President Donald Trump is extending his lead over Florida Governor Ron DeSantis in a hypothetical GOP primary field for the 2024 presidential election. Trump received 46% of support, while DeSantis received 32%. In a head-to-head matchup, 51% of respondents chose Trump, while 40% picked DeSantis. The poll also found that 49% of registered voters would vote for President Joe Biden over Trump if the 2024 election was held today, while 45% would back the former president over the Democratic incumbent.
