"Trump Rallies Iowa Supporters, Alleges Caucus Rigging Amid Pre-Caucus Lead"
TL;DR
At a rally in Iowa, supporters of former President Donald Trump expressed their belief that the Jan. 6 Capitol riot was exaggerated or a setup to harm Trump, with some calling for retribution. Trump, who faces legal challenges related to the events of that day, has continued to push conspiracy theories and vows to pardon Jan. 6 defendants if reelected. This stance resonates with his base, despite causing discomfort among some Republican officials. Meanwhile, Democrats, including President Biden, aim to focus the upcoming campaign on the events of Jan. 6 and the threat to democracy.
