Wyoming Makes History by Banning All Abortion Pills

Wyoming has become the first state to specifically ban medication abortion, with a new law that will go into effect on July 1. The law makes it illegal to prescribe, dispense, distribute, sell or use any drug for the purpose of procuring or performing an abortion, with violators facing imprisonment, fines, or both. Exceptions are made for cases of sexual assault, incest, natural miscarriage, and procedures for imminent peril that substantially endangers a pregnant person's life or health. The ACLU of Wyoming has condemned the ban and vowed to continue fighting for reproductive rights.
