Wyoming Outlaws Abortion Pills in Controversial Move

Wyoming has become the first state to outlaw abortion pills, with medication abortion providers facing up to six months in prison under the new law. The state has also passed a sweeping measure banning abortion under almost all circumstances, making it a felony to provide an abortion. Both laws are likely to be challenged in court by abortion providers. At least three other bills have been introduced in 2023 that seek to ban medication abortion.
