YouTube Lifts Ban on Trump's Channel Ahead of 2024 Election

YouTube has lifted the restrictions on Donald Trump's channel, allowing his presidential campaign to upload new content and buy ads for his campaign. The restrictions were imposed following the Capitol riot in January 2021. YouTube reviewed the restrictions and determined that now is the appropriate time to free his account. However, the channel will continue to be subject to YouTube's policies, and videos that violated its incitement to violence policy will not be restored. Trump has not posted on Facebook or Instagram since his suspension ended, but he has prolifically posted on Truth Social, the platform he launched in 2021.
