Protesters Arrested and Streets Blocked in Ceasefire Demonstrations

Over 30 protesters were arrested in Philadelphia after blocking I-76 and the Spring Garden Street Bridge during a demonstration calling for a ceasefire in Gaza amid the Israel-Hamas War. The protesters, including Jewish community members, draped signs over the overpass and briefly blocked westbound lanes on I-76 before moving to the bridge. The arrested protesters were charged with disorderly conduct and released. The protest, organized by Jewish Voice for Peace and Rabbis for Ceasefire, was one of eight similar demonstrations across the U.S. calling for an end to the violence.
