Dodgers' Pride Night event sparks controversy with archdiocese and LGBTQ+ Catholics.

The Archdiocese of Los Angeles will hold a day of prayer on Friday in response to the Los Angeles Dodgers' decision to honor the "Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence," a charitable drag group that dresses like nuns, at its annual "Pride Night" celebration game. Archbishop José H. Gomez invited all area Catholics to a Mass kicking off the day of prayer on the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops also urged Catholics to pray the Litany of the Sacred Heart as an act of reparation. CatholicVote is planning on having a demonstration in Los Angeles outside of Dodger Stadium on Friday.
