NYPD rescues horse from drowning in Bronx beach.

The NYPD rescued a horse named Bear that was stuck in muddy water on Orchard Beach in the Bronx. The horse and rider were riding along a trail when the horse veered onto a different trail and into the mud, causing it to fall onto its side with the rider underneath. A team of about 15 NYPD officers from various units were called in to assist the distressed horse, using ropes and a rescue glide to pull it from the mud. The horse received medical attention from a veterinarian and was found to be stable.
