Police investigate school threats leading to lockdowns in North Country

At least three north country schools were on lockdown Thursday morning due to reports of active shooters, but it appears to be swatting, someone calling in hoaxes. Law enforcement officials are sending deputies and detectives to every school in the county to make sure they’re safe. All the reports were unfounded, and there were no active emergencies in the community. Despite the lack of a threat, parents may see an increased police presence at all schools.
