University of Oklahoma Students Safe After Reported Active Shooter Situation

OU professor Mike Boettcher helped students barricaded inside the university's journalism school during a reported active-shooter situation. Boettcher went floor-to-floor and yelled out his name so that students knew it was him in the hallway. The students had put television sets and furniture in front of the door, and he told them to stay there while he went to get police officers. Police helped escort the students out of the building and to safety. No evidence of a shooting was found on campus, and no injuries were reported.
