Buffalo community remembers victims of racist mass shooting one year later.

The community of Buffalo, New York, gathered to remember the 10 people killed and three wounded in a racist mass shooting at a Tops Friendly Market one year ago. The store closed for the anniversary, and a ceremony was held with top state and local officials, first responders, and religious leaders. President Joe Biden called for gun control measures, including banning assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, requiring background checks for all gun sales, and repealing gun manufacturers’ immunity from liability. The gunman, an 18-year-old white supremacist, pleaded guilty to murder and other charges and was sentenced to life in prison without parole in February.
